ID Cards

The following methods will be accepted for card check in 2025.

  1. Valid Ontario Soccer ID Card (Physical or Digital)
    • ID Cards are no longer being produced by the EOS
  2. Valid Government Issued Photo ID
    • Must be valid, with photo
  3. Picture on Ontario Soccer Roster (TRRs)
    • PowerUp Sports has an option to add a player's picture to the roster. This can be done by your club registrar.
    • Once added, the picture will stay on the roster for the remainder of the season
    • Convenient for managers, and best of all FREE!

This information might be different if your team is from Quebec, or a different district. Please contact the OCSL office if that is the case.

FAQs

Why do you need ID?

ID is proof that you are the player that is listed on the game sheet. Being registered in PowerUp Sports and approved to the OCSL roster means that you are covered by Ontario Soccer insurance.

What are the consequences for playing without ID?

If found guilty of playing without valid ID a player could be suspended for 2 games, fined and the game result overturned.

A team official could be found guilty of playing an ineligible player. The could result in a lengthy suspension and fines to the club.
